Fuel Technician at Göteborg Energi

Your task

As a fuel technician, you will be part of our fuel reception that ensures fuel supply to our solid fuel plants.

Your tasks include independently patrolling the fuel yard and the equipment for fuel handling. You will monitor the unloading of fuel from transports to the silo facility, operate the wheel loader, street sweeper, conduct lubrication rounds, and troubleshoot any issues either by yourself or with the help of maintenance personnel.

During the heating season, you will work according to a schedule from Monday to Friday. The fuel reception is staffed from 06:00 to 22:00.

During the maintenance period, which lasts about 5 months, your tasks will include troubleshooting, preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical equipment such as pumps, motors, conveyors, fuel screws, transporters, and safety equipment, etc. During this period, your working hours will be from 07:00 to 15:30, Monday to Friday.

In addition to the above, you will participate in other tasks within the operations and maintenance activities. If necessary, you may also participate in smaller projects/technical investigations.

Your team

You will belong to the Facility Operations and be one of five fuel technicians. Facility Operations consists of two units based on a geographical division of our facilities. You will belong to the unit responsible for the facilities located in Hisingen, but you need to be open to working at facilities in other locations as well. In addition to fuel technicians, Facility Operations consists of facility technicians and process chemistry engineers. The unit works closely with other staff within operations and maintenance. Your manager will be Björn Runesvall.

Your competence

A wheel loader license and a driver's license with at least AM category are required for the position. It is highly meritorious if you have experience from the energy sector and knowledge of process equipment. You have completed a technical education at the high school level or have acquired competencies that we assess to be equivalent.

You have a preventive approach that encompasses your entire work area; wheel loader, machine equipment, patrols, and maintenance efforts.

The job is independent but requires that you have good collaboration skills and can establish good cooperation both with relieving colleagues and other staff within operations and maintenance. You have an important role in ensuring that our heat production functions, and therefore it is important that you take responsibility for your part in the process and are service-oriented.
